Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do to prepare for my session?

We highly recommend freshening up prior to your session, to make your session more enjoyable. This is a judgement-free, safe space for being your natural you. Makeup is not recommended, as it will smudge on the face cover during the massage. Wigs can be removed to avoid obstruction, and temporary hair dyes are not recommended as it can stain the massage equipment and the practitioner's clothing, should any of it come into contact. Leaving those things behind allow for better relaxation.

This is my first massage with you. What should I expect?

After finding an ideal space to setup the table for your session, we will ask a little bit about you and how you would like to feel after your session. We will also ask you of any injuries or medical conditions you might have that we should be aware of that may affect our session together, and of the areas you would like to be addressed and focused on. We will then direct you on how you should lay on the table and promise to give you privacy as you undress to get on the table between the covers.

How much space is required when a therapist comes to visit?

An ideal space for table service: 140 inches x 75 inches (11.5 ft. by 6.5ft approximately) this will give us room not just for the table but also for us to move around and work effectively.

What happens if I am running late?

Depending on the situation, your time may be shortened in order to be consistent with our next appointments. If we are more than 30 minutes late to you, your service gets an additional 30 minutes added that day if time permits, or it will be added for a future appointment date free of charge.

How often should I get a massage?

Everyone is different, and it really depends on how your body feels, what your budget is and what your time will allow. Typically, if you don’t find yourself feeling too sore, once every month or every few months is fine. If you have a medical condition or chronic physical conditions that require more attention, we can recommend a schedule for you. It is all on a case-by-case basis. If you just simply enjoy massages, you can do it as often as you'd like: daily, weekly or monthly; it’s whatever feels great for your body!

When is it unsafe to do a massage?

When intoxicated from strong drugs, medications, or alcohol, it is not recommended to do massage as the massage will circulate them further throughout the body causing you increased intoxication. This can also impair judgement and cause difficulty communicating with your provider about pain or soreness.

Do I have to be completely nude during the massage?

We ask that you undress to your level of comfort (down to underwear without bra), however, to enhance your experience, being completely nude under the covers is recommended. We are very professional when it comes to only exposing the areas of your body we are working on, as we are working on them; that way you won’t be unnecessarily exposed.

What kind of music will be played during my massage?

Typically, soft spa music is played. However, this is your session and it calls for whatever you are in the mood for. We usually use Spotify or similar music browsers to allow for any genre of music desired by our clients.

How should I dress when receiving mini massages at events?

Generally, when receiving massages at group events, it's recommended to wear loose and comfortable, or stretchy clothing for an enhanced experience.

I am a muscular person and like to keep my shape firm. Will massage turn my muscles into mush?

No, this is a myth! If anything, massage will enhance your ability to perform, as it will improve your flexibility and increase your range of motion.
